And, of course, Remus remembers. How could he not?
Something like a love story from the summer of 1978, full of Southern Cuts and Old Style, shitty motel rooms, and questionable decisions. Poor excuse for poetry and late night dancing, a trip to Vegas, and one too many honeymoon suites.
Cherry pop rocks, too-tight pants, and a road trip across the U.S.

“Wh– well– why–” James stammered, attempting to get his bearings, because if he didn’t, and he let Regulus tell him ‘kiss me’ one more time, his heart would probably give out. “Why don’t you get Sirius to help?”
Regulus narrowed his eyes. “Because Sirius would just knock his teeth out,” he said as though it were obvious.
“Yes,” James hissed, “and he’ll knock my teeth out if I kiss his little brother.”
“You can take a hit, Potter, I’ve seen you on the quidditch pitch,” Regulus waved him off, and James groaned, leaning away from him.
“Oh, yeah, great, so I’m the sacrifice,” he sighed.
“Precisely,” Regulus stepped right into his space, and James felt his chest go a little hot.

Lily nods, realizes her mother can’t see her, and replies, quietly, “Yes.”

Barty stared at the shimmering figure in front of him with furrowed eyebrows. He thought it looked like a horse at first, but after a closer inspection he saw the antlers and the smaller, pointed muzzle.
“It’s a…stag?”
aka Barty has just produced a corporal Patronus for the first time - a stag. Which doesn't explain why James Potter is suddenly acting to weird around him unless he has a personal problem with stags. Barty is determined to find out.

Summary
James smiles lazily in Barty’s arms, trying to hold back a laugh as he watches Marlene wobble on the table in the center of the common room. Dorcas is screeching at her while Mary spurs her further on in trying to backflip off of it.
The room is hot and the air is sticky despite them leaving windows open. They’ve played plenty of drinking games and had loud conversations, but as the night went on nearly everyone else had returned to their dorms. Though as usual, James and the rest of them found themselves still enjoying the now mellowed party.
“I love you,” James tilts his head back to look at Barty with a soft smile. He’s still smiling when Barty leans forward to kiss his lips softly and nearly melts when he whispers, “I love you too, baby.”

“God, baby, you’re so good for me,” Barty hums, brushing his fingers across James’ adam’s apple reverently.
James melts at the praise and keens softly when he feels him return to kissing the skin beneath his jaw roughly. He hisses as Barty nips at his skin before pulling away quickly again, James hair in his fist so he’s forced to look up at his boyfriend.
“You’re mine,” Barty cocks a brow, watching as James throat bobs.
“Yours, all yours. Yours,” He responds reverently, biting back a whine as Barty begins to attack his neck again.
