Summary
This series started from a simple idea that has become a popular theme since the release of the new Fantastic Beasts film.
Specifically, what if the Dursleys' abuse (which everyone agrees is canon, at least to some extent) led to Harry becoming an Obscurial. Given that jumping off point, I decided to explore the consequences of this notion. In this case, things kick off well before Harry reaches Hogwarts age with the emergence of the Obscurus in Part 1.Part 1: Unexpected Consequences is complete. It covers Harry and Sirius' initial reunion in 1985.
Part 2: A Tale of Two Letters is complete. It takes place six year later, in the summer of 1991, and covers the Hogwarts invitations and the realizations that come in the aftermath of those letters' delivery.
Part 3: Irregular Homecomings is complete. It takes place starting in the summer of 1994, and is the events of Goblet of Fire in this universe.
Part 4: Appendices are reference notes for the series. Each chapter is independent, and chapters are posting periodically.

Summary
Credence hates when Graves hurts Newt, so he does something about it, he uses the Obscurial against Graves, he protects Newt. He feels the anger of Graves' betrayal, feels the fear that he has of his adoptive mother, of himself. He feels everything and feeds it to the Obscurus.

Summary
What if things were different? What if ‘Graves’ instead focused more on getting Tina off his heels before going to Credence? What if Newt arrived a bit earlier? What if Newt sang to Credence? What if Grindelwald thought Newt was on his side for a bit? Would things end differently?
