Summary
Shouta had planned the off-campus patrols to be a safe and reliable method of building trust between students, and a way to crack his two problem children open and figure out what makes them so incredibly determined to oppose each other at every turn.
He just hadn’t planned cracking them open to be literal.
Or, Shouta goes digging into Midoriya and Bakugou’s past, and a collapsing building and a villain with a fear quirk gives him more than he bargained for.

He honestly didn't think anything was wrong until there's a knock on his apartment door in the middle of the night. What could Midoriya Izuku want at this hour?

Summary
It takes Aizawa longer than he'd like to admit for the realization to finally dawn on him, but once it settles deep in his gut, once he finally allows himself to think the words 'I'm going to die here', it's not as monumental of a moment as he'd anticipated.

Before Aizawa can respond, Hawks bursts into the TV studio.
"Hi, sorry to interrupt, but I have some shit to say," he says, perching himself on the corner of the desk. "And this better be streaming."

Summary
“Shinsou!” he says with a grin, “You totally saved my ass at USJ, thanks!”
Hitoshi scoffs at him, something derisive. To himself, he’s thinking that Kaminari started it. Hitoshi couldn’t have taken on all four villains himself. Without Kaminari frying them (and frying himself with the backlash), Hitoshi would have been fucking toast.
Kaminari waves Hitoshi’s cold shoulder off and invites himself to sit next to him at lunch. The whole forty minutes of lunch, Kaminari talks Hitoshi’s ear off about support items and practical exercises and “Your quirk worked on me even when I was dumb, right? That’s so cool! I’ll be honest, my guy, it was super scary until you took over. I can’t really, like, I dunno, process stuff right or whatever when I’m like that– I know it’s stupid– but when you took over it was like, ‘oh, it’s okay,’ ya know? I dunno, it sounds stupid when I say it out loud.”
Hitoshi feels his ribs squeeze and tangle together. He mutters, “Don’t do that.”
Even though the cafeteria is loud, Kaminari hears him. He laughs, “Sorry, sorry, I know I tend to just kinda ramble–”
“No,” Hitoshi cuts in, “don’t call yourself stupid.”
