There's a hiss as the helmet is removed, and Tim stares. The face is the same as the one in the photos, the painting, the hologram--older than it had been, but still shockingly young in a way that Tim couldn't quite describe, the slightest bit of stubble on his cheeks and chin and the vaguely murderous glint to his green eyes betraying his age--barely eighteen if that.
"Hello, Replacement." Jason smirks.

So far, he’d been lucky. Every time they’d brought a potential buyer to him before, he’d been able to keep them from knotting, a sure way to dissuade the buyer. Now though, now he was on the cusp of his heat, the pre-heat was already messing with his head even before the drugs had kicked in. At this point he’d be lucky to not enjoy whatever happened to him next.
And Tim was the most un-lucky person he'd ever met.
