Summary
Kaiser never realized what he had until it was gone, that of course applying to none other than Alexis Ness himself. After taking him too long for granted, Ness eventually takes his own life, Kaiser following suit shortly after. Except when Kaiser died, he came back. To the day before Alexis left him. Except when he tries to fix things, he fails. Over and over. How many times will Alexis have to die for Kaiser to truly understand him?

“Rin, please listen to me,” Isagi said quickly, breath uneven. “I did love you. I wasn’t lying. I never lied about that.”
Rin’s eyes flickered down toward him.
Seeing Isagi like this, on his knees, pathetic, shoulders tense, hands gripping the bed. It made something twist unpleasantly in his chest, but he didn’t show it.
Rin’s jaw tightened. Stupid. Stupid. Stupid Isagi.
Why does he still feel this way? Why does he still care about the same person who ripped his heart out and stomped on it? Isagi looked like he was barely holding himself together.
And Rin felt his chest curl in disgust.

Summary
When the worst comes to pass and the world falls apart, Kaiser whisks Ness off to a pretty property in the middle of nowhere to keep him safe. In the end Ness gets bitten and suffers the infection all the same, and suddenly Kaiser is all alone and left to come to terms with what he could have had. Regret is a awful thing, but he feels that's the very least he owes.

Kaiser laying awake at night with his thoughts. Still holding on to a zombie Ness, he's too selfish to let him go.
