Spencer Reid takes pride in his ability to detect lies, to spot the tiniest inconsistencies in a person's story - it's the one thing he can always rely on.
Which is why he feels such a disdain for the BAU's newest member. Although everyone else has fallen for her veneer of kindness, of normalcy, he isn't so easily fooled. There's something off about her; a lack of warmth in her smiles, a lack of light behind her eyes...
She's hiding something, he knows she is.
