It's a favor, switching over to the Behavioral Analysis Unit from Counterintelligence. Since she moved to America five years ago, her plan had always been to join the FBI. Valentina worked towards her naturalization during college essentially crushing two birds with one stone while she got a bachelors degree in psychology. When she initially applied for the job a year into being an assistant for some tech company, she had applied for the BAU as it felt like her only pipeline towards dissecting the minds of criminals and understand just how bad people can get when their conditions worsen, something she'd only gotten a brief glimpse into during her courses. The criminal mind was entirely fascinating.
