It had to be some kind of afterlife or complex hallucination to be back in the BAU conference room, one very dead Jason Gideon rounding the table with a decade-old case conversation on his lips.
Or: the one in which mid-prison arc season 12 Reid travels back in time to mid-addiction arc season 2 Reid and team, season 12 Reid thinks he’s hallucinating and is more or less helpful than he could be, in the meantime the team puts 2 and 2 together and gets 21, and somehow this still ends up changing the timeline for the better.

Valentina worked towards her naturalization during college essentially crushing two birds with one stone while she got a bachelors degree in psychology. When she initially applied for the job a year into being an assistant for some tech company, she had applied for the BAU as it felt like her only pipeline towards dissecting the minds of criminals and understand just how bad people can get when their conditions worsen, something she'd only gotten a brief glimpse into during her courses. The criminal mind was entirely fascinating.
