Summary
It took a while for Broly to sit in the same room as you, let alone stand in close proximity to you. He'd been making slow progress, and now that you make physical contact on a regular basis, his lack of socialization has become more apparent.
Touching didn't become an issue until Broly began reciprocating, which often involved squeezing you far too tight, randomly leaning all his weight on you, batting your arm/shoulder to get your attention, or worse of all tugging you around by your arm.
These are clearly things he learned while growing up with his father. The subtle disrespect and roughness in his actions were there, but he didn't know any different.
You took it upon yourself to teach him some tenderness and how to be gentle.
