He had never been so utterly exhausted, so thoroughly wrung out in his life.
The sleepless nights helping elves as the Sandpiper, the torture, going to prison, and let's not forget the Deathless Mother and Ciri's possession. The terrible loss of so many Witchers from a place that should have been safe, from their home.
Yet, he knew he could not rest, not yet.

After the fight with Deathless Mother Jaskier is exhausted but ignores his own needs until he can't ignore them anymore.

Summary
His eyes snap open to Geralt sitting on top of Roach with a little girl looking down at him. He internally scoffs because of course Geralt learns to care for someone only after he leaves, and immediately feels bad because he knows that the girl, Princess Cirilla, deserves all the care she could get. But he doesn’t say any of that, doesn’t even look Geralt in the eye before he says, “No,” turns, and walks away from them.
Geralt doesn’t follow him, and instead he hears Roach turn around and walk the other way. He pretends not to know why that only makes him disappointed, angry. He pretends that he doesn’t feel tears falling down his face, blurring his vision. It's been six months, he’s over it.
(Geralt didn’t even try, he didn’t call him back, he didn’t follow. He just let him leave and didn’t even wait before turning around. Not one half-assed apology, not anything at all. Geralt didn’t try to keep him, doesn’t want him.)

Prompt: Outside's POV of Geralt allowing Jaskier to do things to him that no one would dare do to a witcher ie: braiding his hair, snuggling, bantering, touching, maybe Geralt says something hurtful and Jaskier smacks him.... or Jaskier grabbing and squeezing Geralt's butt.
Like any or all of these happening in a tavern or market and the villagers are like, "oh fuck. This bard is gonna die." But Geralt just takes it and sometimes even smiles or cracks a joke, shocking everyone. ... ... ... And can we get protective Geralt too with ciri?
Maybe Geralt going all angry, protective papa bear when some villager starts harassing ciri. -

Pushing the heavy blankets away, she rolls over to see Jaskier and Geralt curled up together on the other bed, the witcher's starting to stir and lifts his face from where it's tucked against dark hair. He pushes himself up to one elbow, looking at her over Jaskier and offering a small smile, before dropping a kiss to the bards head, standing up and running a hand over his face with a yawn.

“Safe”, Jaskier had scoffed, despite himself and the lace edge of his sleeve had flopped through the air as he’d gestured towards the flask and potion in question, “it’s fucking glowing in the fucking dark”
---Sometimes transformation means pain, and even though Geralt and Jaskier would rather set the whole world aflame than let any harm come to their daugther of surprise, there is no question whether they will help her through it all as best they can. And bicker with Yennefer.
