"And what's that?"
Jimin's voice drops low. "A washed-up rapper who let the fame get to his head."
Jeon Jungkook is a rapper at the peak of his fame when he loses himself and starts to let his life crumble around him. He meets Jimin while he's in the middle of letting it all fall apart. Jungkook can't quite understand Jimin – he seems so happy even though he lives such a simple life. And Jungkook might not understand it, but he can't deny that there's something so captivating about Park Jimin and his simple life.

“I’m not deflecting,” Jimin says, lying out of his ass. He keeps his eyes down, doesn’t want to make it anymore obvious that his heart is going a hundred miles per second. “I just don’t know what you’re talking about.”
Taehyung’s lips tighten and he looks away, eyes back on the field.
“Interesting,” Taehyung says, as Jimin reluctantly follows his line of sight. “He’s still looking at you.”
Twenty feet away, dressed in his football uniform, Jeon Jeongguk looks away.
Or, Jimin and Jeongguk had a summer fling that extended into their senior year, Jeongguk is trying to make a move into official territory, and Jimin’s just oblivious.
