“What the fuck was that Dick?” Dick shifted slightly at the question, eyes flicking to the side in avoidance.
“It was nothing Jason, don’t worry about.”
“Are you fucking kidding me? What the hell are you talking about Dick, she hit you.” Jason knew he was being too harsh. In the back of his mind Bruce's training echoed dully reminding him that abuse victims didn’t respond well to aggression and would avoid direct questions.
But this wasn’t a victim. He reasoned with himself. This was Dick.

“Have you ever told anyone?” The question is odd, stilted, spoken like Tim already knew the answer but still wanted confirmation.
Dick removes his arms from his abdomen, clutching his hands together harshly. The pinch is a welcome relief from the shame he can feel churning as he tries to formulate a response.
“No,” he whispers, nails biting into his skin. “I never told.”
