Summary
Dean Winchester always swore that the only way he’d willingly go for a run was if zombies were chasing him. Now, over a year after the dead stopped staying dead and started chowing down on the living, those words are biting him in the ass. Well, better his words do it than an actual zombie, he figures.
It’s no life of leisure, but it’s certainly better than it could be. New Lebanon has decent zombie-proof security, military protection, and plenty of food and other necessities, along with even a few luxuries. The settlement’s Runners, of which group Dean and his brother Sam are reliable members, are to thank for that: heading out every day into the undead-infested countryside and abandoned towns in search of whatever the town needs. Sprinting from death on a regular basis might not fit the definition of “boring,” but Dean’s adjusted enough to appreciate the smaller sense of routine and predictability. That is, until one day when his radio headset, rather than picking up the voice of his handler, suddenly starts receiving an aberrant transmission from a mysterious, gravel-voiced stranger. Dean can’t resist his growing fixation on the unknown man, and he’s determined to track him down and rescue him, no matter what.

Summary
Dean Winchester was excited to start his new job at Sandover. He was ready for a change, and this was a big step up the career ladder. Maybe the Employee Handbook was a bit harsh in some respects, but hey, he was there to make money, not to find a life partner, so the prohibition against intra-company dating shouldn’t be a problem, right?
No problem at all.
Well, maybe one little problem, in the form of the Director of Human Resources, hot-as-sin Castiel Novak.

Summary
Single bachelor Dean bets he can have sex more times within a calendar year than his happily-married brother. But when Castiel – Dean’s roommate, best friend, and total virgin – asks Dean to be his First, Dean’s plan to bed numerous strangers goes up in smoke. Over the weeks, then the months, Cas becomes his go-to guy. His “fuck buddy”, if you will. But that doesn’t sound right. It doesn’t feel right. Dean was Cas’ First, but now he wants to be Cas’ Only. Now he’s gotta figure out how the heck to court a guy he’s successfully wooed a hundred times already.

Cas Novak has spent a majority of his adult life escaping his past, hopping from job to job and city to city in six months or less. Seattle, Washington was supposed to be no different. A pretty standard systems admin job for a company filled with a hilarious variety of Clients from Hell. Dean Winchester being a prime candidate (and almost worth a submission). The big, bad marketing director who had been known to make employees cry, if he wasn’t dumping iced coffee on their heads.
He might have been content in assuming such things of the company, “Mean Girl,” had they not accidentally bonded over some trash TV in the breakroom one workaholics Saturday. As they say, it was, “the start of a beautiful, bizarrely satisfying, if sexually frustrating, friendship.” And somewhere between building a living room fort out of moving boxes and dog sitting his Baby, Cas quickly realized he had stopped trying to outrun his past.
Can two broken puzzle pieces fit together to make a brand new puzzle?
