Summary
Poseidon hated Odysseus, with every fibre of his being, only not drowning Ithaca to avoid the fights it would bring. So why was he becoming fond of said Ithacan? Why was he washing up extra pretty shells for the man's son to find at the beach.
Odysseus truly didn't hate Poseidon, he hated the fact he contributed to his later arrival home, but Poseidon was understandable. If anyone hurt Odysseus's son like that, of course he'd want them dead.

Summary
Percy Jackson, age twenty-seven, wakes up in the past, in the final battle of the Trojan War. He tries to fit in and accidentally adopts a son and a new sister. Upon meeting and claiming his new sister, he makes a plan. There was a joke at Camp Half-Blood that if Cassandra of Troy met Odysseus of Ithaca, her prophecies would have been heeded as the warnings they were. If Percy was in the past for a bit, he may as well come home with an answer as to whether or not the loophole would have worked. That, and now he's committed to keeping all of Odysseus' crew alive to see their homes and families again.

“Perseus, is it?” Apollo’s golden eyes glint. “Destroyer. God-killer. Uncle's proudest creation.”
Percy almost flinches.
“I am not fond of destruction and carnage, yet I can feel my blessing upon you.” Apollo leans in. “Curious, isn’t it? You see— I don’t remember you at all.”
