What can I say that isn't pretty self-evident from the title?

On Mon 08 Jun 2026, AO3 updated some stuff that broke a lot of things in a lot of people's CSS-works (and at least one userscript).  I fixed it.  This fix is only client-side, so that you can re-enable some of the magic that some people have wrought and see it once more as a reader — it doesn't act from within a work skin to force a rollback to the actual server-side site-level underlying code itself, so it's not much good directly for authors (indirectly: your readers might use this to see your effects).

Have you seen some of my CSS demos, or a number of heavy hitters' works that the change broke?1  If so (before the “update”), then you know and remember; if not, then you're going to want to do so, and you'll want this CSS or JS with which to view them in all of their glory.

Just a few gags, gimmicks, and general tomfoolery, some CSS and some textual, all brought together for April Fools' Day (wait: did teh title change?)... enjoy! 😉

(There's even a playable  Red Dot  [of sorts] for you to chase!)

...just keep an eye out for “Jack”! 🫨

NB:  With apologies, this isn't optimized for iPhone or Android (slightly better on Android than iPhone, and in either case better sideways in landscape than vertical in portrait); it's essentially functional on them, but not teh same experience as on a computer (a bit weird in Firefox and TOR, but fine in Chrome, MS Edge, and Opera).
Also:  Teh lyrics are faux ego; I know just enough to have a little fun; my kung fu is not particularly strong.

    Riddle me this:

The Riddler has left a set of clues to follow, and Batman is fighting other crime.

There's a hit piece on Superman in today's Daily Planet, by authors unknown.  What sort of people could possibly have written it?  It's up to you to find and sew together the seaming/seeming clues of this wild goose chase — and to watch out for red herrings!

Of course, if you get tired of syllogistic logic, then you could just... rebus alone! 😉 🤣

    Summary

On a remote paradise garden-world, genetic engineers have created a deathworld recreational park.  Now one of intergalactic civilization's most terrifying dreams has come true.  Creatures known only to those hardy souls insane enough to travel the most inhospitable hellworlds now roam Deathworld Park, and all who wish can visit them.

Avery d'Arc, that galaxy-famous Deathworlder, the brightest star in the gossip column and the very talk of the metaphorical town, is invited as the celebrity guest to the exclusive opening, along with his Genomorph [alien] girlfriend Billie, and the Space-Catgirls áõŋː and raʔûR who came to visit and never left.

Designed by the brightest minds of a civilization the technology of which dwarfs imagining, all are assured of a perfectly safe and wonderful vacation....

NB:  Close to a General rating, but still enough atmosphere with the Cat-girls that I chose a Teen rating to be on the safe side; at a friend's advice, however, I upgraded it to Mature on 11 Feb (it seems to be sort of in between the two, but when on the cusp, it's safer to err on the side of caution).
