Megumi closed his eyes. When he opened them again, Nanami looked exactly as unimpressed as before.
“Of course he did,” Megumi replied.
For a brief moment, something that might have been amusement flickered across Nanami’s face. However, it disappeared almost immediately. Nevertheless, he stepped aside.

Summary
Megumi wants to kiss Itadori, right there, in the middle of the sidewalk where any random passerby could see them. He wants to hold Itadori's soft, tanned cheeks between his hands and kiss him senseless, to tell Itadori exactly how he's been feeling and then kiss him some more.
He doesn’t. He makes it back to his dorm room and just barely stops himself from screaming into his pillow, for fear of Itadori hearing him through the thin walls.

Summary
He takes in a heavy breath and pretends these cheap sunglasses hide his dark circles as they wheel the poor kid in.
"Hey," Gojo rasps. "Miss me?"
Megumi's eyes go wide in horror. His jaw hangs slightly agape. He's breathing too fast. He doesn't say a word.
“Fushiguro?” Yuji's hand hovers over his shoulder. Megumi smacks it away harshly.
He trembles as he gets to his feet, then trips unceremoniously toward the foot of Gojo's hospital bed. Satoru instinctively reaches out to catch him, but he's too slow in his sewn-up state, and Yuta gets there first.
There's tears running down the kid's face. Guilt is a weighty boulder between the two of them.
Megumi claps his shaking hand over his mouth, but he can’t contain an emotional dry heave. Yuta escorts him to the trashcan so he can sob and vomit freely in terror.
Gojo sits there stupidly, unable to do anything else.

Megumi turns his head to check on him, and their gazes lock. Caramel eyes stare back at his own with intensity and something more, enough to have Megumi squirming slightly. Shoulders pressed together, in this new position, their faces are just a few measly inches away. He can appreciate the light freckles scattered over the bridge of Yuuji’s nose.
“Is something wrong?”
