Summary
Jason and Percy have been studying in the university of New Rome for a while now, yet they never were super close, until an unexpected resurgence of nightmares brings Jason to Percy's doorstep. If the reason Jason woke Percy that night hadn't been embarrassing enough already, in a moment of vulnerability, Jason also kisses him. As Jason questions his sexuality, he also attempts to get closer to the unexpectedly reserved Percy.

Percy and Jason are a couple of bros, going to college, tasting the realities of growing up post Tartarus and post war. Both have been dumped and not really digested why things didn't work out. At the New Year's Eve party in the dorms at New Rome University, after a lot of drinks and more challenging talks of feelings, or whatever, they do what feels right, and at least in the afterglow, life doesn't seem so dark.

Percy stood on his doorstep, clutching a blanket and pillow. "Hey," he breathed, looking completely exhausted. His eyes were red and puffy, and for the first time, Jason registered that he wasn’t the only person missing his best friend. Percy and Jason were really in the same situation. Maybe that was why he couldn’t sleep.
And, maybe, someone who was a little more than a best friend could help with that. Or maybe Jason was pushing it a little.
"Hey," Jason dragged a hand through his hair, suddenly less worried about being presentable for him. "can’t sleep?" He asked.
"Yeah." Percy muttered. "I don’t feel like taking Reyna’s place, and Dakota keeps whispering to me about things. What about you?"
"You’re not taking her place." Jason offered him a hand, pulling him inside. "I was… too excited for tomorrow." Percy’s skin was warmer than his. Jason had never noticed that before. He slipped his other hand around Percy’s waist, shivers of electricity going up him–hopefully not literally.
"I uh, I can sleep on the floor if you want–"
"There’s enough room on my bed, you know."
