Summary
Jamie had changed during Ted's time with Richmond. So much so, that when he wakes up the morning of the flight to New York City for their international friendly against NYCFC, with a horrible headache and stomach ache/nausea like nothing he's ever felt before, he knows he's in trouble. Not wanting to let anyone down however, he sucks it up, showers, gets dressed, grabs his stuff and heads for Nelson Road to catch the buses that will take the team to Heathrow.
Just over 3400 miles away, Dr. Sadie (Adi) Banks, was just finishing her last shift before her vacation began. A fan of the Greyhounds, since her semester abroad in London back in 2004, she had jumped at the opportunity to purchase some shares in the club when they went up for sale. As soon as the news came that the club was coming to New York to play, she put in her time off request and got her ticket for the match.
Little did she, Jamie or anyone else for that matter know that the events that started with him waking up unwell the morning of the flight and culminating on the day of the match would lead to him and Adi meeting for the first time. Of course, the circumstances of this meeting would not be how either of them would have ever wanted to meet.
