The story Lulu tells to Alvin is adapted from the very first story I ever wrote.
I was eight years old at the time, and I wrote it because I wanted something new to read.
By the time I finished writing it, I knew beyond any doubt that I wanted to be, HAD to be a writer.
I didn't realize until years later how much Lulu's stories, brilliantly written by John Stanley
influenced this work.
