Summary
Whatever was so restless in Ainosuke’s chest saw its chance and escaped and all he feels now is a bone-deep ache that he knows won’t burn out by the time he has to wake up the next morning. It might even be worse. He might even give in and place another stupid commission with Sakurayashiki Calligraphy under yet another dead name, and obtain a love confession that is no longer to be found in Kaoru’s eyes.

Summary
Ainosuke remembers taking the picture and then taking off the blindfold and taking Kaoru’s virginity, too. He licks his lips, a little breathless, a little cloudy-eyed, and gulps.
His finger trails his laptop screen where Kaoru is spread out on it. All he finds is cool glass but he can imagine the warmth of Kaoru’s skin instead. The feelings are not so old, only by a night, really.
If he closes his eyes and really focuses he can hear Kaoru’s moans, too.
Older Kaoru is shyer, more reserved with how much he gives Ainosuke. He says he doesn’t enjoy being bare to Ainosuke when Ainosuke won’t so much as be honest with him.
OR
Ainosuke wanted to build back all the bridges he burnt, but the only thing he has managed to reacquaint himself with is Kaoru’s bed. That’s all he is worth, Cherry has decided.
