The year is 1971
Narcissa Black, daughter of Cygnus and Druella Black. The youngest sister of Bellatrix Black, soon to be Lestrange, and Andromeda Black. After the disappointment Andromeda turned out to be to the Noble and Most Ancient House of Black, the family’s status in the Wizarding world rests on the shoulders of 16 year old Narcissa, entering her sixth year at Hogwarts. She expects to be betrothed by her seventh year. She will do anything for her family.
Lucius Malfoy, son of Abraxas and Gomeisa Malfoy. Slytherin House prefect. Close friend of Tom Riddle, Head Boy, and esteemed member of the Knights of Walpurgis, a group Bellatrix Black is a notable member of. Only heir to the Malfoy fortune, and therefore forced to continue the pureblood heritage for another generation. This responsibility rests on his shoulders to find a suitable, pure-blood wife by his seventh year at Hogwarts. He will do anything for the people he loves.

A one-shot, particularly for those who like Lucius/Narcissa pairing with some Draco sandwiched in the plot.
True to Canon, but a lot written in, to explore Lucius' side of things (expect for the small, 'twist' toward the very end) - no, our Blond Wizard does not die :)
I spent so much of time re-reading and taking down notes from the original chapter, to make sure the details are mostly intact, perfectionist that I am.
