"“Wait. You organised this?” Ed asks, eyebrows raised.
“Co-organised,” Stede says. “But yes. It’s our first edition, but apart from the fire evacuation, it’s been going pretty well!” He frowns as he looks around, then grins. “Ah, Lucius is coming back with our breakfast orders. I have to deal with that. But you’ll be up later? There’s always someone at the registration desk. Just ask for me!”
Ed smiles, trying not to feel too smug at how eager Stede is to see him again. “I will. Go enjoy your breakfast.”
When the fire alarm in Ed's hotel goes off, he runs into Stede in the car park, and gets invited to the Blackbeard's 7 con.
And also to Stede's hotel room because Stede needs a second pair of eyes to help him with his kissing fic and Ed is feeling very helpful.
