Summary
About a week after parting ways with Ash, Clemont, and Bonnie to continue her journey solo, Serena is spending the day on the beaches of Kalos Route 8, relaxing with her Pokémon. While pretending to be a flying Pokémon and spreading her arms out like wings, she bumps into Dawn, who has also chosen Kalos Route 8 to take a vacation at based on stories she's heard of its beauty. The two quickly become friends, especially after they share stories of the time they spent with Ash, including hearing stories of times when he (and other friends of his) were shrunk. Almost like the fates were listening, they eventually come across a Poké Ball in the sand that's shooting its return laser wildly and shrinking random objects, such as wild water Pokémon. They get control of the ball, but Serena actually is curious what it would be like to be small. And so after a bit of convincing, Serena and Dawn shrink themselves to the size of a Joltik with the ball even though their swimsuits fail to shrink with them. After making new clothing out of each other's swimsuits, they play around on the beach along with their normal-sized Pokémon like they're part of a playground attraction. That is until they see Meowth going solo and causing trouble...
