After years of abuse at the hands of his father, Shouto enrolls at UA just to get out of the house. Life at UA is much kinder than he expected, and he begins to imagine a better life for himself—a life where Endeavor is dead and the Pro Hero industry that enables him is reduced to smoldering ashes.
Luckily, the League of Villains shares the same goal. Two of the members, Dabi and Deku, are especially interested in putting Endeavor’s head on a metaphorical (and perhaps literal) pike. They want Shouto’s help to make their dream a reality.
As Shouto becomes more involved with the League, he also becomes closer with his classmate Bakugou. Unlike Shouto, Bakugou’s a big fan of Pro Heroes—and he doesn’t know that his childhood friend Deku is now a high-profile Villain. The closer Shouto becomes to both Deku and Bakugou, the harder it becomes to keep his two lives separate.
Will Shouto succeed in killing Endeavor and destroying the Pro Hero industry, or will everything fall apart before he can even take the first step?

Katsuki grunts, but doesn’t make any moves to wrap up this interaction or leave, so Izuku bravely attempts to keep the conversation going. “So, what’s recently-top five pro-hero Dynamight doing at a konbini at,” Izuku checks his phone, “Eleven forty two PM?”
Katsuki scowls. “Don’t call me Dynamight, you sound like those paparazzi vultures.”
Izuku swallows. Have his palms always been this sweaty? “Okay, what is Baku—”
The scowl darkens.
“Katsu—” Darker still.
“Ka…cchan…?” Bafflingly, the shadow between the hero’s brows finally begins to soften. “What is Kacchan doing at a konbini at eleven forty two pm?”

“Yes.” He hesitated for a moment before adding ”Can I give your number to a few friends?”
“Yes, of course.”
Or, Izuku Midoriya, thirty, Quirk Counsellor and Therapist, is trying to survive his two idiot best friends while finding love and has no idea how he ended up helping his childhood friend turned bully reform the law enforcing system. Let’s just say retirement sounds easier.

“Don’t lose that spirit you have, my boy,” the doctor encouraged. “Ambition is a gift unlike any other, stronger than even a Quirk. And who knows? One day we may have the technology to create Quirks, or even gift them to others. Perhaps you will one day achieve your dream. Perhaps one day you could be even more powerful than Katsuki Bakugou.”
He said it so confidently, and those words were like lightning in Izuku’s veins. All he could do was stare at the doctor. “You… you think that’s possible?” he whispered, hardly daring to get his hopes up again. “Is that… something you’re developing?”
It doesn’t take much to be set on a different path. For Izuku, it was the day he met All Might and was told he could never be a hero without a Quirk. Later, when he runs into his old pediatric doctor—Dr. Tsubasa—while being treated for a burn, Izuku encounters an opportunity. There is another man in the burn unit, and between the burned man and Tsubasa, they might know a way for Izuku to acquire a Quirk… for a price.
Sometimes, the encouragement you need can come from the wrong source. Not all men are created equal, but Izuku Midoriya is about to even the playing field.
