Summary
Klaus folded his arms across his chest. “Nuh-uh. No way. Sorry, brother dearest, but the only way you’re locking her in there is if you lock me in too.”
“Oh my God,” Ben said from behind him, his tone a mixture of disbelief and admiration. “You’re an idiot.”
Klaus ignored Ben, lifting his jaw obstinately and squaring his shoulders. He fixed Luther with his most intimidating stare. “Your choice, brother mine.”
Luther sighed, annoyance evident in his eyes. “Whatever you want, Klaus.”
His brother stepped back, out of the room – Vanya’s cell (Klaus’ prison), beginning to close the door.
“I’ll check on you later, Klaus.”
(“Three more hours, Number Four.”)
The door shut soundlessly, and Klaus watched, his heartrate accelerating, as Luther spun the wheel of the lock before turning and walking away.
He was trapped.
-------------
Klaus refuses to let Luther leave Vanya to wake up alone in a cage. Between the panic attacks and the withdrawal, he doesn't quite manage to play the role of the comforting older brother. Somehow it works out anyway.

Summary
There was a distinctly annoyed and horribly familiar huff behind him. "What a ridiculous waste of time. It is a Friday night, you should be honing your powers, Number Four."
And. Klaus. Froze.
He felt his shoulders bunch up, all his muscles tensing at the sound of his voice. He squeezed his eyes shut, hoping that he imagined it. But no.
"I am well-aware that you can hear me, Number Four. Or is this some extension of your irrational fear of the dead? I would've expected you to have moved past that by now, but you always were the weakest of your siblings."
---
In which Reginald Hargreeves comes back as a ghost and Klaus is left to deal with the fallout.

Summary
“Besides, as I said earlier, Luther is capable of defending himself,” Five adds. “This is Number One we’re talking about. There are very few people on this planet who aren’t able to be crushed with his fists.”
“You think I don’t know that?” Klaus snaps, and it’s not until Five’s eyes narrow and Diego’s eyebrows furrow that he realizes he’s said too much.

Summary
“Klaus, we’ve been here long enough,” Ben yells above the voices of the dead. “We’ve proved Five wrong, so let’s go!”
Klaus doesn’t respond, and for a moment Ben worries his brother can’t hear him, but then Klaus nods in agreement, moving to stand on unsteady legs. Ben feels himself deflate with relief as Klaus stumbles over to the mausoleum door, ready to leave this place and hopefully never come back. Hopefully this experience is enough to convince Klaus to stay away for the rest of his life, because Ben doesn’t think he could bear coming back here again.
Klaus pushes on the mausoleum door, but the door doesn’t move. Ben frowns. “Push harder, Klaus,” Ben tells him, hating how useless he feels watching Klaus push on the door. “It’s just super heavy, right?”
Klaus pushes harder this time, squeezing his eyes shut as he presses his entire body against the door, the veins in his arms becoming visible as he does.
The door doesn’t budge.

Summary
“Diego, get Mom,” Allison cried, holding Klaus as though he were dying. Five jumped next to them to make sure the idiot really wasn’t. Klaus was pushing everyone’s hands away, squirming as if trying to get free.
“Where did it get him,” he asked wildly, knocking his hands away and shoving Allison’s black cardigan off his shoulders. Blood was soaking into his Orange Beach shirt, spreading across his chest alarmingly
Previous summary read as: An ex boyfriend comes to the house to confront Klaus and things get ugly. Five protective siblings (and Ben) are there thankfully.

Summary
“Guys, go,” Klaus says, his voice firmer than it’s ever been, and his siblings turn around to look at him.
“What?” Five’s face twists in confusion.
“Go through the tunnel,” Klaus orders, pointing towards it, just in case they forgot it was there. “I’ll meet you guys at the motel that’s just outside the city limits later. Go.”
Or, when the Commission corners him and his siblings, Klaus realizes the only way they can get out alive is if he pays the little girl upstairs a visit.

Summary
Diego once would have told his brothers to get lost, that there are no monsters, and to just go back to bed.
But things are different now.
“Monsters, huh?” Diego raises an eyebrow, sliding out of bed and onto his feet. “We’d better go look, then, yeah?”

Summary
“We have decided to fuck up the timeline.”
And Klaus is too mentally exhausted to question why and how the hell Five agreed to it, so he nods. “Cool.”
Then he blinks.
“How are you going to do that?”
“We,” starts Luther, and Klaus really doesn’t expect the next words that come out of his mouth, “are going to murder Dad.”
-
Or Klaus gets caged in the mausoleum for four days, and his siblings are done with Reggie's bullshit - so they kill him.

Surprisingly, it’s Luther who notices first.
“Klaus is gone,” Luther says in his best listen to me because I’m Number One voice, but Ben is the only one that seems to have heard. “I’m not kidding, guys.”

Summary
One month into being back in their teenage bodies, Klaus can no longer handle it.
Or: Klaus can't stand the ghosts, he loses control of his powers in front of a grade A (for a-hole) parent, and his siblings try to help - a glimpse into the life of how the Hargreeves deal with each other again in the same house.

Summary
Klaus was self aware enough to know that he’s been fucked up for a long time. So sure, the nightmares, the heart palpitations, the way his lungs collapsed when he thought about his childhood for too long - yeah, it sucked, but he was used to it. The flashbacks, though. They were new.
After two months post the almost apocalypse, Klaus was feeling pretty proud of how carefully he had maintained his mask of normality around his siblings. He was still fidgety and annoying, sure, but none of them had glimpsed at his fun new brand of fucked.

Summary
The apocalypse had been averted. The Hargreeves siblings were once again learning to get along. With Allison still wounded and Vanya traumatized and untrained, the Hargreeves brothers had promised to limit their activities to what amounted to a simple night out - taking down one little drug lab.
Things, as usual, went spectacularly wrong.
