Aramaki goes to confront Issho after the disasterous events of the Reverie, though Issho is not the one who finds himself wavering in his resolve, now that all the adrenaline of battle has worn off.
Despite knowing what he is supposed to do, Aramaki is once again unable to bring himself to fight Issho. Because of the collateral damage, of course, or so he tells himself. -

Borsalino knelt by the grave, his fingers tracing his own name. “It feels surreal, attending one’s own funeral.”
Sakazuki remained silent, eyes moving from the gravestone and into Borsalino. He has swapped out his gaudy suit into something plainer, a simple white shirt and slacks. Borsalino stood up, slower and less graceful. He turned and flashed Sakazuki a smile, “Didn’t expect you to go all out."
“You’re an admiral. You’d have made a fuss if you were buried in something cheap.” Sakazuki scoffed.
Borsalino fakes his death with the help of Sakazuki. They have one final talk before Borsalino leaves.
