Hwanwoong was late. Not that it was a new thing that he was late. He was always late but this time he was really late. He slept through three alarms. He cycled as fast as he possibly could, surprised that he hadn't wiped himself out with how fast he went around corners. Finally, he arrived at work, hair slicked down with sweat and his heart beating erratically.
"Hwanwoong, I'm sorry. You're fired," his manager said, her face trying to hold a professional appearance but Hwanwoong could see the cracks, the sadness. She liked him, he was hard working but he had been giving more than enough warnings. She had no choice and he knew this.Now jobless, Hwanwoong by chance see a "Help Wanted" sign that leads him down a path of new friendships, D&D adventures and maybe romance.

Yeongja giggles loudly, shying away from Keonhee as she shakes her head.
“Does Geonhak-ssaem say he loves you, too?”
Yeongja giggles so hard that Hwanwoong is worried she’s going to fall out of her chair. Keonhee laughs and reaches out to pet her hair, a grin on his face. When they’re finished gossiping about Yeongja’s love for Geonhak, Yeongja turns towards her dad and asks,
“Daddy, if you marry Geonhak-ssaem, does that mean I can see him outside of school?”
OR, Hwanwoong’s daughter, Yeongja, is starting kindergarten. He expects her to make lots of friends and be the energetic little thing she is. He doesn’t expect to fall in love with her teacher.

“I wanna be with you,“ Hwanwoong admitted, barely looking up. His words were distant-sounding and empty, but still fully sincere. He was high, but that didn’t mean he wasn’t capable of thinking rational thoughts. He still knew, at the end of the day, that he was in love with Geonhak, even with his altered state of mind.
At any other time, it would’ve felt weird or he would’ve been so embarrassed he’d never be able to show his face to Geonhak again, but this wasn’t like that. Nothing felt like it was going to be embarrassing to say right then, not in Geonhak’s arms like that.
