It’s a Sunday night, Ned’s out gaming with some of his work colleagues, while MJ is at home, trying to beat the anxiety that comes with each new week at work. The message is an easy one to send.

Summary
“Are you— bleeding? What the hell?” MJ asks, quickly shutting the window and walking after Peter who is limping forward.
“It’s fine.”
Peter looks at her meaningfully but MJ ignores it– moving aside and waving her hand towards the door.
“Come on, let’s go.”
Peter limps back, MJ noticing the way he looks at her out of the corner of his eye and choosing to ignore the way her stomach flips as he does.

“I’d uh- like that,” she says, rocking back on her heels just once as her lips press in a crooked smile.
“You mean- as in you want a ride?”“Yes.”
Stupidly he has to clarify, “With me?”
He sees and hears her take a deep breath before she nods sharply, “Yes.”
Or the 5 times Peter and MJ each fall a little in love from the passengers seat.

Summary
MJ really doesn’t know what she was thinking.
Asking Peter to move in with her in the interim seemed like an odd move at the time. She knew he didn’t live in a shack at least, but he’d mentioned his place needing some work, and the landlord had been eager to complete it. With the extra space now, she figured it was as good of a time as any to have Peter temporarily live with her so the landlord could do what he needed to do and everyone would be happy.
It was temporary, anyway. And even though she didn’t quite remember Peter, she knew that they had memories together, and Ned remembered him, so she felt safe. It also wouldn’t hurt to have him around in case she could remember him, too.
OR
MJ asks Peter to live with her while Ned is away for work.
