Summary
The agreement had been fragile from the start.
A deal done between beasts, a settlement meant to decrease death on both sides, to cull the unmedigated slaughter and chaos that both inflicted on the other. Though the dragons had been resistant to the deal, they ultimately agreed upon it when it became clear that their smaller numbers would dwindle out before they could exterminate humans. One living dragon left wouldn't be able to recuperate like a dozen humans would. So they had agreed to the settlement, laying a tentative treaty of peace between kinds, if only to lessen their kind's blood that was spilled.
That treaty had been tested from the start.

"Please, it will make sense. Let me talk too much this once."
The vocalist turned his eyes away, but scoffed eventually.
"I meant that dealing with Earthtray comes at a cost of something. Chastity is one of the many things that can be traded, and since a demon themselves cannot claim it due to their absence in this realm, a killing is needed," the demon said, one hand moving up to the locks that remained spilled over his shoulders, brushing through them repeatedly. "But… it's slightly different if a demon is already present for it."
Shadow Milk was not sure where this was headed, but he was starting to become a hater of the idea long before it reached his ears.
"If…" oh, and now the demon was the one to look away, blinking away too many times, and flicking their eyes over anything that was not the man before them. "If you gave me your chastity in a ritual like the one before, I could return."
