Summary
"It was marvelous and David felt his mouth water as he watched Patrick swing a big hammer thing and hit a large tire with it. It was mesmerizing, watching the swing of Patrick’s arms as the hammer arched through the air. Watching as it bounced off and Patrick stroked the handle, grabbing it under the head as he swung it again. David could see the muscles in his shoulders and back ripple with the movement."
Another installment of the hockey bfs au that I decided we all needed. Patrick decides that he wants to try bottoming.
Slapshot: A slapshot is the hardest shot to make in hockey. The player brings the stick back to shoulder height or higher, then swings it down and slaps the stick against the ice to bend it, using that motion like a spring to then hit the puck hard. When the stick hits the puck, the player must roll their wrist and shift their weight to push the energy through the stick and into the puck.

Summary
Patrick hangs the outside Christmas decor. Turns out that he and David weren't quite on the same page about the aesthetic. A little bit of arguing, a little bit of spiraling, and a whole lot of these boys trying to make each other happy. Happy Holidays!

Summary
The last thing David expected, or wanted, was for a phone call from his sister to interrupt his viewing of 'The Holiday' and drag him out into the Canadian mountains after her car breaks down. Add to that the worsening snowstorm as he travels further north and Alexis accepting a complete stranger's invitation to wait in his cabin until David can get to her and the day has taken a very different and highly unwelcome turn than the one he was anticipating.
But then he meets the stranger, and perhaps he can forgive Alexis this one. After all, he's seen the film before but Patrick is new.

The truth is, David really doesn’t want to be here. Not today. Not any day, probably, but especially not today. Every time he thinks about it, he gets more… sad.
Or – a trip to a Christmas market does not fill David with joy… at least not at first.
