Trying to look disinterested, Miya looks around Langa's room. There's not much to see, actually. In contrast to Reki's room, the walls are free of stickers or posters. There's a few gifts Reki made for him on display and a framed picture of Langa and probably his father on the bedside table. And that's pretty much it. The bed is unremarkable, with dark blue covers, messily put together.“And how do you know is him?” Miya asks, eyes traveling the room.
“I just know. It gotta be him, right?”
Right.
“And what if it's not him?” Miya asks. He reaches to touch Langa's hair, it feels silky between his fingers.
“I don't know. But I feel like it is him,” Langa says, simply.
There's a drone outside Langa's window.

“You're so handsome.” Langa murmured, then brought one hand to his own chest to trace the upside-down T’s that decorated him, much more faded, with years of healing and regeneration on their side. “I'm so proud of you.”
Reki just let the compliments sink in as a grin spread wide across his face, no blush, no rebuttals, no embarrassment. “Thank you.” He glanced down to his own chest, tingling with pins and needles under Langa's gentle touch.
