Summary
This is a love story, though not a simple one.
It is a story about identity and the masks we choose to wear. About power, not only the kind that rules nations, but the quieter kind that governs hearts. About control, both imposed and willingly surrendered. Here, love does not exist in isolation; it is shaped by choices, sharpened by secrets, and tested by trust.
You may recognise fragments of a familiar world written by J. K. Rowling. Some events have been altered, others softened, a few removed altogether. This is not a correction of canon, but an interpretation, my attempt to give voice to a character we rarely see from within.
This story is also a part of me I have never shared before. Some of the things you will read were inspired by my own life, others by the choices we all face.
If you have ever felt as though you were drowning in your own decisions, perhaps this story will feel a little like your own.

Logically, Akaguro Chizome had seen enough as the vigilante Stendhal to expect both anything and nothing at the same time. It still didn’t prepare him for when they brought in a child, though. And it certainly didn’t prepare him for when the Doctor dropped the boy off in his cell afterwards along with a first aid kit and told Chizome to take care of him.
Or; Chizome and Izuku are taken to be test subjects for Doctor Garaki’s quirk experiments. The events that result from this are nothing like what anybody expects. Still, Izuku wants nothing more than to be a hero, even with an ex-vigilante as his new dad.
