Kara Danvers falls out of a portal at 3:47 AM and makes a twelve-foot crater in Central Park. She has no powers, no shoes, and no way home. The man who finds her is wearing half a Spider-Man suit and has exactly one spare.
What follows is four months in Queens — a fake ID, a coffee shop job, a city that doesn't know her name, and a partnership that starts in a crater and becomes something neither of them has a word for yet. She fights at thirty percent. She learns her limits. She earns her place in this city the hard way, one rooftop at a time.
And somewhere between the first pretzel and both their names on a lease, she stops waiting to go home.
Then the portal opens again.
