Summary
Plagued by dreams of evil taking over the world, and staring down Thorin Oakenshield - the one Middle Earth's fate depends on - Thranduil is left with little choice on how to save the world, and this idiotic ruler to boot.
In order to save them all, he must get one of Durin's line to help him. But to help him means erasing the memories of the dwarf from his companions memories completely.
And the dwarf in his sights? Fili. Who, when faced with the evidence has no choice but to cooperate.
But Thranduil never told him to leave his personality behind, and the Elves of Mirkwood are about to get a crash course on dealing with Erebor's future heir in the process.
Fingers crossed Thranduil thinks it's still worth it.

When Fili was five years old, he said goodbye to his father and uncle who were leaving for a trade negotiation; only for them to never return. His father, slain by arrows while his changeling Uncle was supposedly murdered.
It turns out, the lost member of their family isn't as lost as they believed; but he's trapped - the pain too great for the animal to release the dwarf. Now, years later history seems to be repeating itself, and if they don't find a way to reverse what's been done, Kili stands to lose that which he holds most dear.

Summary
Long ago, Mahal forged the dwarven race - swearing to always love and protect them until the end of time.
But as time moved on, and his interest in his creations waned, the dwarves began to turn their backs on him; stealing from his temples and forgoing any thanks they once offered him. Furious with the disrespect, Mahal cursed the dwarves - cursed them so that some would carry a Mark, and those who were Marked were doomed to die.
Time passed, and the Royal family were the only ones to be spared. Until one day, they weren't.
One day, Kíli woke up and discovered he had been Marked, and Fíli realised he had to do what he could to save his brother before time ran out and he lost him forever.

Fili had one job to do. One. And thanks to a pack of mutts he's now imprisoned - wrongfully, he'd like to point out - and now has to explain himself to the King of Erebor and hope like hell he's not executed as punishment - that would delay his delivery time somewhat.
Oh and he'd also have to face his father and explain to him why he was near a dwarven kingdom in the first place, considering they were all off limits.
On second thought, imprisonment doesn't sound so bad after all.

“Bragi.” The name sounds new off Mitchell’s tongue; the way he emphasises the vowels, making him softer, less dramatic. “What’s he like?”
Anders counts all the years spent craving silence. It’s almost funny to think back on how at first he thought it was the best thing to ever happen to him, the way just a few well-placed words could open metaphorical doors and literal legs. Anders wanted, Anders got, and Anders paid the price.
He can’t remember how long after he turned twenty-one that drinking sunny evenings away turned into drinking afternoons into oblivion; how long it was before late nights became later nights that morphed into long, white-washed mornings spent dry-heaving into empty bath tubs, crash after spectacular crash; and all so that the loudest thing wouldn’t be the voice in his head but the clashing of pills in his bloodstream.
“Undeniable,” Anders says.

This did not go the way I (or the prompter, presumably) meant it to go: Fíli and Kíli are working on improving relationships between the dwarves and the men in the next village. Fíli gets hurt in the process and Kíli is surprisingly mature about it.

And then he thinks of how much he wants all of that, every day – to be Mitchell’s joy and torment because he may have just realized, Mitchell is the same to him.
He’s the root of every single one of Anders’ problems these days; and he’s the only possible solution. No, not the only possible one. But the one Anders wants, more than any other.

Prompt fill for prompt 118 from the GatheringFiKi SpringFRE 2019: A King and his Consort. Consort gets kidnapped by the most idiotic criminals the Kingdom has ever seen. The Consort knows he should be afraid, but kinda feels sorry for these idiots and wonders if he should give them some pointers, just so they can feel like they've achieved something before he busts out of the ropes they forgot to tighten properly.
This provided the ideal idea for a sequel to our "Beauty and the tiny Beast story": Fíli and Kíli travel to Erebor to get married - Thorin plans to retire to the Shire with Bilbo after handing the crown to his nephew. Merry and Pippin get confused and abduct Fíli.
