Summary
Spock calls Leonard on the fourth night Jim’s staying with him, because he calls Leonard every night, to report on Jim’s condition. It’s not exactly medically necessary, and Leonard is monitoring his vitals remotely, but he doesn’t ask Spock to stop. Maybe he needs this. Maybe they both do.
Set at the end of ST: ID. Bones’ perspective on Jim’s recovery and the Vulcan who won’t leave his side–this is a companion piece to my fic Lost and Found
but can be read without it (though the ending might seem slightly abrupt). It was inspired by a comment on that fic from sydneygremlin, who has now drawn gorgeous art for Lost and Found here.)Canon compliant except Spock’s not w/ Uhura.
