“Richie!” They exclaimed pleasingly.
“You came!” Bev beamed, already running to greet him with open arms.
But she froze when Richie turned to look at her, and saw blood running down from the top of his head.
“Wow Bev, I know I’m handsome, but I didn’t know I was jaw dropping handsome.” He teased weakly, as if his glasses weren’t cracked and there wasn’t a big purple blemish under his eye and on his forehead.
OR: It's Christmas time, and what was supposed to be a fun day of decorating for the occasion at the clubhouse turns sour when Richie shows up injured and with a bad fever. Thankfully he has a family just waiting and ready to give him love and cuddles.

The thing is the Losers knew Richie’s parents weren’t the best, but no one knew how bad it actually was, because Richie hated talking about them and none of them had actually met his parents, thinking about it, the losers hadn’t even been in his house, except of course Eddie. Yeah, Eddie had been in his house a few times, but it was only his room and not for long. So no the Losers didn’t know anything about Richie’s parents, until one night it gets really, really, bad and Richie decides to go to Bill’s house and ask for help.
OR: Richie finally decides to open up and the losers are there for him, it takes some time and reassuring but eventually he gets there.

Bev huffed. “Who cares!?” She snapped, making them all jump. “Look I get it, things are a mess but do you guys not see that your friend is kind of breaking down!?” She gestured to Richie. “What is wrong with you guys!? If something was wrong, he should’ve been able to come to us in the first place because he’s our friend and we love him!”
They all went completely silent, nothing but guilt on their faces.
Bev looked at Richie regretfully. “And it’s on us that you don’t know that.”
Fresh tears formed in Richie’s eyes as he started sobbing all over again despite his inner wishes.
But this time it was different. Because this time the Losers were there.
OR: After getting screamed at by Henry for flirting with Connor at the arcade, Richie runs to the clubhouse instead, and learns that not only will he never have to feel alone again, but that even someone as messed up as him can be loved.
