Hunter wasn’t sure how long he ran.
He wasn’t even really thinking about running, he just knew he couldn’t breathe. Everything was just too close. The walls of the house, the pale hand of the owl lady, and above all that cape. That stupid cape that he had loved so much. He had run out of the house, not to get away, but because he had hoped that there would be air outside. There wasn’t. Running probably hadn’t helped, but when had Hunter ever helped himself? He could only make things worse.
