Summary
An idea brushes against Reo’s periphery, and then, like the breaking of a dam, like the ensuing surge of floodwater, it bursts out of him. It feels so right, so perfect, that Reo barely stops to think it through.
“Why don’t you marry me?” Reo asks, grabbing Nagi’s shoulders and pulling him closer. “You won’t even have to work—I’ll take care of you—”
Nagi’s eyes widen slightly. “Me?”
“Yes, you,” Reo says, a laugh bubbling from his chest like champagne. “Who else would it be?”

Summary
“Yesterday,” Nagi mumbles, the rest of his words dying on his tongue. His head is hidden behind his arms, strategically placed so Reo can’t make out the expression on his face. There’s an added measure of security to his evasion—his phone, brightness turned low, audio cranked high—that makes it impossible for Reo to guess what he wants. He drums his fingers against the table.
“Hm? Speak up, Nagi.”
Nagi shifts in his seat. Then, sighing, he tilts his head over the edge of his phone. “Yesterday,” he tries again, “you fell asleep on the table.”
Reo makes a noise in the back of his throat. The room feels strangely warm all of a sudden. “I was tired after practice,” he lies easily. “You’ve done it plenty of times.”
Dust particles float through the open air, landing in troves between the grooves on Reo’s desk. “Yeah, I do.” Nagi pauses. “But do I say your name when I’m asleep too?”
The first time Reo doesn't get what he wants is when Nagi Seishirou walks away from him during Blue Lock's second selection. He's learned to curb his expectations by now, though.
Really, he has.

Summary
As one of God's favorite children, Mikage Reo was blessed with the appearance of the miraculously skilled guardian angel, Nagi Seishiro, in order to aid him in achieving his dream of winning the World Cup. When it is won and displayed—Nagi's purpose fulfilled—he is called on to return to the heavens, with no regard for the years he and Reo had spent together nor the bond they forged.
Reo has always considered Nagi to be his most precious gift from God. How could he allow God to take this gift back?
He would do absolutely anything to prevent it, including any of the most egregious of sins.
