Wolfwood suddenly awoke to complete nothingness. He couldn’t see anything, it was just soul crushing darkness. Darkness, intense pressure on his whole body, and no air. Survival instincts took over before he even had time to panic. He dug through the unforgiving blackness above him, ignoring his body’s cries of pain. He couldn’t give up, he had to escape, this is what he thought to himself as the faces of all those he wanted to see flashed before his eyes. ‘Milly and Meryl,’ he thought as his nails began to bleed. ‘Miss Melanie and the kids,’ he thought as his fingers felt like they were going to break. ‘Livio,’ he thought as tears streamed down his eyes both from the intense pain in his arms and the emotional distress at the thought of failure. Ironically, right as the most important face came to mind- a certain blonde idiot whose smile was as bright as the double suns- he could finally see them again.

It’s something of a comforting reminder that rolls through him as he collects the funds to exorcise this next “evil spirit”, one that slams doors and rattles the house’s fragile frame every day from dawn to dusk. An evil spirit Wolfwood’s fairly certain is simply heavy drafts caused by the brutal suns warming this shithole of a planet.
It’s easy to spritz some holy water around the home. It’s also easy to wiggle their single, rickety window free, locking it shut. It makes the guilt lingering in his gut a bit more manageable.
Wolfwood tries to get rid of the ghost that's haunting the town of Eden.

The way his thumbs glided over the dip of her hips expressed his anxiety. Knives would never verbally admit to his weaknesses, leaving Meryl to learn his mannerisms over time.
“Did something happen while I was away?” Meryl asked. Her small hands rested on top of his to soothe him.
The question made him frown. Why must this woman be so sharp? Given the chance, Knives would happily swallow his feelings to avoid speaking of them. His gaze lowered towards the floor to swallow his pride.

“Y’know, if you wanted me to write a song about you, then you didn’t have to go through all of those steps, Wolfwood.” A wiry grin rises onto Vash’s features and those butterflies and rainbows and kittens multiply tenfold. That motherfucker, threatening his unaffected persona and making him feel shit he doesn’t even know how to process.
Vash proves to Wolfwood a love song is the most punk rock thing you could write.
