With a sigh, Jaskier brushes a wisp of black hair back from Yenna’s forehead. If someone had told him a year ago that he would be caring for a sick Yennefer Vengerberg, and voluntarily at that, he would have recommended they check themselves into the closest urgent care.
And yet, here they are.
An accident while training Ciri in wielding Chaos leaves both Ciri and Yennefer rather worse for wear. With Geralt and Triss busy with Ciri, it is up to Jaskier to comfort a sick Yennefer.

Lambert grabbed the glass of wine resting next to his canvas by the stem with his left hand and took a sip just as his right hand started painting the dark background layer on the canvas.
The woman leading the event had let them pick from chardonnay, rosé and pinot noir and there was no way Lambert was spending three hours playing nice with his brother unless red wine was involved, so pinot noir it was for him. Geralt, on the other hand, had gone for the blush wine and cheekily asked for ice cubes and a straw, the monster.- or -
Lambert agrees to attend a paint-and-sip event with his brother when Jaskier has to cancel a date with Geralt at the last minute.

The last couple of months have been a mad dash across the continent, first the short distance to Cintra when he'd heard of the impending invasion. Hoping to be at least of some use (and maybe to see Geralt again), Jaskier had ended up taking Ciri when he headed North, with Mousesack's relief and approval but also Calanthe's curses ringing in his ears.
