There’s a hole punched into the glass inset of Gweld’s front door.
Inside, the entryway is dark and mostly undisturbed, if one ignores the glass shards right behind the door and the scent of blood. It’s stronger here, copper-rich and bitter with… something. Poison? Whatever it is, it’s off, and there’s something else threaded into it, something that makes Gweld’s nose wrinkle and settles unpleasantly at the back of his throat. It almost smells like sickness, though that doesn’t make any sort of sense.
