“Jamil! Let’s play mancala together!” the bejeweled youth invited, grabbing ahold of the dreamer’s hand without so much as a hint of hesitation. They thus set forth towards unfamiliar halls of a palace Silver had never been to, passing through glass windows that reflected the appearance he now adorned—hair as black as ebony, eyes as gray as charcoal, beautiful in the same glint of a diamond in the rough.
(And as he felt his destined love’s soft touch against the warmth of the hand it held, he found himself wondering if this heat rushing through his cheeks truly was his own.)
Silver dreams and lives a life that is not his to claim—as he does so, he falls in love.

“Why, Lord Disdain, you still live?” A snide remark escapes the lips of the man currently standing before him, a mischievous flair evident in his bluish gray eyes. A solitary beauty mark rests below his lower lip, at the left side of his nigh punchable face. “It is my deepest pleasure to cross paths with you once more.”
Ugh. Riddle wants to guffaw over the mere sight of him. But instead, he rolls his eyes, perhaps the most tempered reaction he could possibly return.
“…Azul Ashengrotto,” he replies with a voice laced in thorns, distaste apparent to all in the know. A smirk then traces itself upon his features as he faces his nemesis head-on, crossing his arms whilst tilting his head ever slightly to the side. “Of course, my disdain still lives—why shall it ever die when someone such as yourself exists? Courtesy itself must convert to disdain, if you come in its presence.”
In which Azul and Riddle are tricked into confessing their begrudging affections for one another.

“Huh… I had a feeling it was your first go at origami, but I didn’t think you'd know about that legend,” Ruggie remarked, genuinely surprised, as he momentarily paused from what he was doing. “I read about it when I was younger, too. Really believed it as well, ‘specially since it seemed more possible than the other legends out there.”
He then laughed ruefully, shaking his head. “I was real foolish.”
It was Kalim’s turn to stop folding this time. He looked up at his gray-eyed companion, not missing the way a hint of sadness flashed across the boy’s face ever so subtly. There seemed to be a deeper story behind his words…
“—Come on. You weren’t foolish,” Kalim then said softly, his voice saccharine and gentle. “Believing in something hopeful isn’t foolish at all. It’s what keeps us going sometimes, you know?”
“Can ya really still say that if I say my wish was a futile one, Kalim-kun?”
In which two unfulfilled wishes remain unsung amidst a thousand paper cranes.

It is a universally known fact that love is akin to a flame—it begins with a spark, lives its life as a radiant fire, and soon reaches its imminent end as ashen remains. But what the world doesn’t know is that memories of its effervescent gleam are left in the cinders, waiting to be set aflame again through the spark of a love reignited.
