Summary
Rain tapped against the window when Nayuki opened his eyes. His head throbbed in time with it, every beat blurring into a dull ache that struck him right at his temples.
His body felt…heavy, having been assaulted with the kind of exhaustion that didn’t come from lack of sleep but from…something burning low and feverish beneath his skin. The ache in his joints, the heat in his cheeks, the faint tremor in his hands—it all added up to one conclusion he couldn’t deny.
He was sick. Somehow, despite his usual caution, he’d caught a cold.
And Raito doesn’t know what to do about it.

Summary
“This view sort of reminds me of what I saw at the Mount Hakodate Observatory,” Nagi murmured to himself, watching the distant city lights stretch endlessly before them, glowing like a web of molten gold. Gently, he smiled, though there was something wistful about the way he did so. “When I first saw it, I thought it was incredible—like I was looking at the happiness of so many people all at once. It was beautiful…but at the same time, I couldn’t shake this feeling that…that…”
“…their lights exist in a place we can never reach…right?”
The quiet interruption made Nagi turn, surprised. Raito now stood beside him, looking at the distant glow with an expression that mirrored his own—solemn, almost resigned, as if the thought had long since settled in his heart. And that's why…
Ah, Nagi couldn’t help but think. So Raito-san understands.

Summary
It used to come to him as easily as breathing.
A warm hug. A kiss on the cheek. His mother humming in the kitchen as the television murmured in the background. His father’s hand ruffling his hair after a long day, his touch calloused and rough, but careful. Nayuki clinging to his arm during thunderstorms, convinced his big brother could chase the lightning away. He saw it in the clatter of dishes, the soft shuffle of slippers on tile, the quiet closeness of four people moving around each other without needing to say a word. He witnessed it without feeling the need to give it a name.
A reflection from someone who once believed he was missing something.

Summary
It was infuriating, the way Raito grew to talk about love like Nayuki never gave him any. The way he spoke of it like he was still searching for it, like it was some prize on a higher shelf he never figured out how to reach—it made Nayuki livid, it made him want to shake his poor excuse of an older brother by the arms as he screamed in desperation, “What do you think I’ve been doing this entire time?”
But he didn’t. He can’t. Because he knew…Raito doesn’t mean that kind of love.
In which brotherhood curdles into something desperate, and Nayuki questions just how far he’s willing to go.

Kuguri remembered, all those years ago, when Nanaki had looked up at him with wide, uncertain eyes, just before he set off for Hungary. A child’s face, full of questions but not the words to ask them.
All he could do was hold Kuguri’s hands as he stood alongside his older brother, reluctant to let his Kugu-nii go.

Summary
In the farthermost corner of the Asim's private library lies an old, rickety bookshelf that had seen better days. Books so ancient that no one has touched for over a century were kept there, one such book being about a little prince and the friend he found in a pilot.
It was but a tale so old that it had long been forgotten. A children's story that had once captivated the hearts of whomsoever read it... A story that a certain Jamil Viper happened to chance upon, once when he was six years old.
And once when he was six years old...he opened it and read. These are the stories that it bequeathed.
