Qui-Gon finally concluded that he had over-reacted to the situation. It would be best to let go of his feelings and not feel threatened by what had happened. Obi-Wan was obviously an appealing and easily likable child. Naturally people would continue to be drawn to him, but it was unlikely that something like this would ever happen again. People didn’t just go around trying to adopt young Jedi.

“But remind him he’s not in charge,” Cody added. Obi-Wan knew that getting Cody to like Hondo was probably a lost cause, but he still hoped. Cody might put up with the Pirate Captain, but that was the extent of it.
Obi-Wan reached for his comm, dialing in the familiar code.
It took only a moment and then Hondo was answering, an exaggerated scowl on his face. “My betrayer!”
Obi-Wan rolled his eyes, not bothering to respond to the all too familiar accusation. “How do you feel about stealing something big?”
Hondo looked like he was debating with himself as to whether he wanted to continue being churlish and accusing or whether he wanted to steal things. Thankfully, in this, Hondo was very predictable. “You have drunken too much, my friend, if you have to ask.”

Summary
After touching a mysterious artifact, Cody's general is suddenly a child with the memories to match. Cody has to coax a suspicious adolescent back to base without alerting the nearby Separatists of their presence.
Reversing his general's age an easier fix than Cody thought it would be, but he didn't factor in the possibility that Obi-Wan might not want to give up his self in order to become General Kenobi again. It'd be easier to think if he didn't have an insidious voice in his head, whispering to him to distrust the Jedi.
