[Note: The bulk of this story retells the end of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, portions of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, and the beginning of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince from Severus Snape's point of view. I have not incorporated any dialogue from these novels, and any similarities in phrasing are entirely unintentional.]
