Slips the paper out and smiles at the first few bets on the list, all about whos going to ask who out first, Buck or Eddie, when they’ve been together almost three years now and then-
“Thirty on Buck messing it up first.” He reads aloud. The laughter stopping abruptly. Athena and Maddie are here too, probably for lunch considering the bags of takeout he hadn’t noticed them place on the table as he read the list. “Forty-five on Buck cheating in the first month.”
