Summary
The fall felt like eternity - but perhaps moments as big as this always feel like time has stopped. Izuku looked up to the now dark sky, the stars just barely beginning to pop out. He would miss them, they were the only constant remaining in his life, something he’d always found comfort in. The only thought that echoed in his head was: ‘I don’t want to die, but I don’t know how to live anymore.’
He heard the crunch of bone splintering on asphalt before mentally registering he’d reached the ground; everything went black.

Summary
In which the strength required to wield One for All isn't necessarily physical. Where One for All is able to choose their own successor and jump ship from All Might as soon as they meet someone suitable.
At fourteen, a very surprised Midoriya Izuku is nearly crushed under the largest building in Musutafu, only to find himself holding that building up using a quirk he didn't know he had. The picture that's taken at such an angle that the glass windows all along the building reflect the clouds, is spread across the country at breakneck speeds. A boy, singlehandedly holding up the sky as it falls.

Beautiful, short fic. Also, the comments are incredible additions and I low-key hope someone makes a follow up/add on in this verse. So. So. Gooooood!!
Dadzawa-coded hero assisting, incredible image of holding up a broken sky, and Aizawa going to help because no kid deserves to be buried under a building, felt like a genuine thought/response to a significant Canon, traumatic event for Aizawa. Ahhhh, so gooood!!

The amount of laughter this has already provided me is incredible. Each chapter gets better. I just finished ch 7, and I am stoked for meeting cats, UA shenanigans, and the eventual Family Dinner. More little plot options added each chapter and it feels pretty natural. Also, the Toshi and Zuku, and Sho and Zashi, the teasing of solidly grounded friendships is great.
Also, fluff. :)
I have finished ch 11 and hipe we get to troll UA next chapter. And mostly Nemuri. Loved the forecast of kisses.
I don't usually add WIP/unfinished fics to my reread list but this gets a spot.
