Tsukasa’s fingers remain motionless. Rui feels a slight quiver at the tip of the zipper.
An awkward silence ensues. Well, awkward for Rui, at least. He doesn’t know what Tsukasa’s feeling right now. Two laser beams burn into his back where Tsukasa’s eyes seem to be glued. He can hear Tsukasa’s breathing, but he’s not sure if it’s just because the room is quiet. The tension is palpable, a string being tugged from both sides until its threads start to fray.
He clears his throat weakly.
“Tsukasa-ku—”
Warm lips press against the nape of his neck, and Rui’s heart genuinely stops.

“Yes! ” Tsukasa pulls back for a moment to meet Rui’s eyes, then resumes his process of kissing and nibbling all over his torso. “The head was scared everything would fall apart if I left. I told him I can teleport back but he insisted I stay! And they didn’t have good offerings!” Rui’s eyes widen a little and at the same time, Tsukasa bites into his shoulder harshly. The pain blooms through his neck, and the feeling makes Rui whine softly. There’ll likely be a scar once it’s healed, something that thrills both of them. “None of it was things I like. I think they were trying for someone else first.” This part is grumbled into Rui’s neck, and he coos again at Tsukasa’s indignation.
“They should appreciate you more,” Rui’s voice is soothing in Tsukasa’s ears, “the least you deserve is nice offerings when they take you away for a month.” Tsukasa grumbles some more in agreement, beginning to grope at Rui’s tits. The bluntness of the action makes his husband let out a small, breathy moan, back arching just slightly into the touch. “Maybe—“ Rui stifles a whimper when Tsukasa rubs the pad of his thumb over a nipple, “m-maybe you should give them a reason that you can’t leave.”
