Summary
Ian doesn’t care what they say, he’s not like Monica. If they could just understand what it’s like in his brain, what it feels like, what he’s been through, then maybe they’d be a little less judgmental and a little more supportive. But maybe part of the problem is that he doesn’t even understand what it’s like in his brain, not yet anyway, and he also doesn’t remember everything he’s been through. Maybe if he did, he could make all of it make more sense to everyone.
After Ian’s admitted to the psych ward, he realizes something is wrong, and he does need help. How is he supposed to figure out what the best choices are for him with Fiona and Lip constantly looking over his shoulder in their efforts to make sure he doesn’t turn out like their mom? Also, what is he supposed to do about the flashes of memories that won’t go away, no matter how much he’s tried to drink, drug, or fuck them out of his brain? All he wants is to feel like he belongs, like he’s accepted, maybe even loved…if only Mickey can stick this out with him…

Summary
Mickey Milkovich: Southside's Dirtiest White Boy. Convinced he'll be alone forever. Nobody could ever want someone with his roots, his trauma, his story.
Insert Ian Gallagher: a closeted transgender boy with a pair of genuine eyes and a good heart to go with it.
Maybe orange is Mickey's new favorite color.
