Summary
Castiel Novak has led an uneventful small town life, besides the fact he occasionally hears voices. But there's medication for that. He's just ready to face the months following high school graduation without a hitch before heading off to college with his best friend, Meg. What he hadn't planned for was a few poor decisions leading him to befriend the one person his father forbade him from speaking to, Dean Winchester, and their whirlwind relationship that follows. When he and Dean are torn apart by forces outside of their control, their world gets much darker than the boys could've guessed. Secrets start to unravel, and so does everything Castiel thought he knew about himself and those he loves.

Summary
‘Don’t fuck around, Munson. I see you looking at him. Whenever you’re near him, all you do is look.’
Eddie lifts his gaze to Billy, slow and level. He doesn’t want Billy. Billy is grey and gross inside, and worse, he’s dull.
But Steve…
Oh, he’s a prism.
He’s a glittering, gorgeous thing, catches the light and splits it. Uniquely bright and far, far beyond compare.
Eddie is full of wanting for him.
He always has been.
‘Your boy’s pretty,’ he says casually. ‘But I look at a lot of people.’
‘Funny, ’cause I only ever see you looking at him.’
‘Yeah, and? This shit’s top shelf. What, you gonna let me wine and dine him for an eighth? Don’t fuck around yourself, Hargrove. If you can’t pay, just say that.’
Go for the pride, just a little nick.
‘You can fuck him,’ Billy says bluntly. ‘You can fuck him while I watch.’

“Steve?” Nancy prompted.
“Hey, guys, maybe give him a second, alright?” Eddie said gently, his voice felt like a cool cloth on a feverish forehead, Steve could have easily sighed in relief and relaxed into it.
“A second?” Jonathan said, his voice louder and rougher than Eddie’s, Steve could imagine him gesturing wildly around them just from the way he was speaking. “I don't know if you noticed, Munson, but we’re currently embedded in some freaky flesh-wall-thing.”
“You’re totally right, Byers, I hadn’t noticed that,” Eddie said, slightly sharper but still quiet enough not to cause Steve any pain. “Guess I missed the entire crash, lucky me.”
