“It’s like a proper sleep over, man.” Argyle laughs as he lay sideways across the bed, arms spread out and still not touching the edges, feet barely skimming the floor.
“Yeah well, it’s just for tonight,” Steve agrees, making his way over to the edge of the bed “Tomorrow we’re setting up tents and sleeping outside.” He tells them.
“For real?” Jonathan’s eyebrows perk up “You’re camping?”
Steve’s eyebrows shoot up in defense “Yeah? I’ve slept in the house maybe a handful of times my whole life. I basically lived outside when we’d come on vacation. Don’t act surprised.” Steve scolds.
Jonathan’s eyes soften “Sorry, I just didn’t think you’d.. Like camping? That’s very off brand King Steve.”
Eddie sides up beside Steve and puts a playful hand on his shoulder “That’s because King Steve is no longer, all that is, is now, Rambo, The Explorer!” Eddie’s voice drops low, his arm movements dramatic.
Steve physically cannot help the smile that spreads across his face.

Steve takes the party on vacation to his family's vacation cabin, and everyone learns a thing or two about what family means to each other.

Steve's car rumbled to a stop over the gravel path in front of Eddie's trailer. Simply put, Steve was terrified. Steve was spiraling, his knuckles white, his hands still gripping the steering wheel. Why was he even here, after everything that happened why would Munson even want to look at him. That thought of him turning Steve away was somehow even more terrifying. Steve knew deep down that he has to be in Munson's life, whenever he was around him he just felt this magnetic field and was drawn in instantly. Those late night movies on Steve's couch where they curled up into each other meant so much to Steve and he didn't even know why.
-or the one where Eddie Munson falls hard for Steve Harrington and doesn't know what personal space is, and Steve Harrington falls even harder.

Robin blinks as she thinks about what Eddie just said. “You-you what?”
“I wanna kiss Steve! I wanna kiss his stupid fucking face. Those pretty fucking lips. All plump and soft looking. He’s just so fucking pretty, Rob. His hair, his freckles, his eyes, just everything about him is just so, perfect and pretty. I mean, I guess if he’s called ‘The King’ then he has to be perfect,” Eddie finishes.
Unbeknownst to Eddie, Steve was not with the kids. In fact, he was standing in the hospital room, with Eddie and Robin, listening.
